About Molly Detwiler
Molly Shaffer Detwiler is a Northern California-based freelance
writer and editor with more than 30 years of corporate
communications experience.
She spent most of her career in Silicon Valley, where she held editorial
staff and communications management positions at high-technology
companies such as Oracle and Raychem. Most recently, she spent seven
years at Adobe, where she formed the software company's editorial
department and later led the packaging and collateral team.
Molly has been an independent marketing writer since 1998 and a Sonoma Valley
resident since 2002, serving a wide range of clients. She specializes in brochures,
annual reports, ads, feature articles, and Web content for the full breadth of
business audiences.
A native of Indiana, Molly earned a bachelor of science degree from Purdue University,
Krannert School of Management. She is currently studying fiction writing in the Graduate Writing
Program at California College of the Arts and is on track to earn her master of fine arts degree
in May 2010. She is a past president of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the International
Association of Business Communicators, member of the Sonoma Valley Chamber of
Commerce, and 2003 graduate of the Chamber's Leadership Sonoma Valley program.
